How many starters do they return? Admittedly I don't know much about the team they return this year but I'd really love for them to get the W just to shut some of the talking heads up, so I'd like a rundown on the team as well as your prediction.

I think Oregon has just as good of a chance as anyone. I don't think USC will make it through the conference unscathed. Even if it's a terrible team that no one is expecting to knock them off.

The defense is still pretty meh, but they are loaded with receivers, running backs and QBs. Mariota is supposed to be Thomas, Harrington and dixon all rolled into one. He can play.

They will likely play twice, so it's pretty likely they win one of them

USC can lose the regular season meeting and still be sitting pretty for a BCSNCG birth

I predict this will be the best defense Oregon has have ever had. As long as they remain healthy.

Oregon doesn't have the best record in LA either. The game will look a lot like last year. They are going to get shredded by the passing game but if UO can keep up and get a turnover here or there, they definitely have a good chance.

Oregon has a great chance to beat them. The visiting team has won the last two games. Hopefully Utah beats SC and they face Oregon in the PAC 12 championship game.

This would send espn into a full depression. We would have to place certain "college football experts" on suicide watch!

Not by me. I'm sure you heard this from someone who has to pay attention to a bunch of teams. Having a true and redshirt freshman at CB doesn't bode well for a great defense. Those guys are seasoned now. The D line will be collapsing the pocket. The LB's will clean it up led by Dion Jordan ( a hybrid dl/lb) and my boy Boseko Lokombo.

We get it, you're from Oregon but are always down on them even though you aren't as informed as you should be for always giving your input.

Eta....or you have family here. I forget.

Pretty high. I think Oregon is going to play for the national title, though.

If they end up playing twice I would say its close to 50%.

Going to be an interesting season for them that's for certain. BCS bowl or bust IMO.

Better than Gang Green?????????? I hope so, but I don't wanna get my hopes up. We got some great players on D this year for sure.

they will probably get two chances
(regular season and (the north and south champs)), so I will guess 87%.

between darn good and damn good.

Ok bud.

I don't know what I said that's so uninformed or down on them. But I am well informed enough to know reasoning with you is Impossible if I don't agree with you. Do I pull for them? Yes. Am I an irrational, argue to the death homer? No.

BCS Title team D was great most of the time, but also sucked balls sometimes.
