Any chance this flooding in LaPlace is partially due to the levee upgrades in other places around the Nola Metro areas? That extra water contained has to go somewhere.

This is a really stupid thought. The problem is the wind angle and the fact that the damn storm sat on our coast for so long.
The amount of water N.O., or Metairie for that matter, has pumped into something the size of Lake Ponchatrain is a drop in the bucket.

Major props to you folks who are trying to help.
