Apparently the east to west winds drove water from Pontchartrain over. I didn't realize how close my sister was to the lake until I looked at a map (They are in Belle Terre).
They are ok, water at garage slab level. But plenty of people were in real trouble.

St Charles parish has an EOC. If I were trapped I would call 985-783-5050 even if I were in St John
