My prayers are with all of you right now, especially those in Laplace, Lower Jefferson, and Placquemines, those seem to be the hardest hit areas so far, at least from what I have heard.

I kept telling my friends that I wish Isaac had come over here and just absolutely destroyed us rather than go to Louisiana and Mississippi. I meant it just for this very reason.

Apparently the east to west winds drove water from Pontchartrain over. I didn't realize how close my sister was to the lake until I looked at a map (They are in Belle Terre).

They are ok, water at garage slab level. But plenty of people were in real trouble.
