I'm not the biggest LOTR guy, but RotK getting an eight seed against The Empire Strikes Back is a screw job. I mean clearly Empire's coming out of the bracket, but c'mon...

They did the seeding by putting it to a facebook vote. They listed films on their page and asked people to vote on what should be in the bracket, and they were seeded by their vote.
Which just demonstrates how remarkably stupid most of Grantland's readership is. That is an f'n terrible bracket. They should've made the bracket and then let the readers ruin it with their general stupidity.

Not only that, but the other Star Wars and Lord of the Rings are against each other as well. What an abortion of a lineup. Its like putting the #1 and #3 team in the country play each other as the first round of March Madness.

TDK had a cakewalk to the final 4, not facing T2 till the elite 8. Meanwhile, Aliens had Toy Story 3, Temple of Doom , Rocky III, and Last Crusade.
