In case anyone is interested. Toronto got a big 3 points in the first match of group play.

Hercules Gomez is starting for Santos, FWIW.

Hassli has hair now? Wasn't expecting that.

ETA: Santos is looking pretty dangerous early on.

ETA2: Yellow cards are flying all around at BMO Field.

ETA: Peralta just whiffed at one from point-blank range in the 24th minute.

Just hoping not to lose power during this storm. It's not raining here at the moment. I'm hoping TFC can get three points here. I'd like to see as many MLS teams advance to the final 8 as possible.

But Santos has looked pretty scary so far.

They beat the Sounders 6-1 in the second leg of last year's CCL quarterfinals. They beat TFC 6-2 in the second leg of the semifinals so they can be pretty explosive.

Well, they also beat the Tim... Oh wait, that's right, what was I thinking? The Timbers in the Champions League.

Sounders are gonna pick up 6 points in the next two matches against the Timbers ... probably.

Sucks that their next match is going to be during the East Carolina/Southern Miss football. game.

TFC is doing a good job of applying high pressure the past few minutes.
