In S5E1 opening scene, the flash-forward, some people are saying they think they see Walter wearing a wire. Not sure if I see all that, but if he is, could it not be he's loaded that jacket with some sort of an explosive device? He is a chemist and it is "Science, Mr. White, yeah"!

Seems like a better turn of events then him turning witness protection to me, especially with the gun involved. It could be both, though, and he goes out with a blaze of glory using the weapon and explosives.

And the birthday thing with the bacon in the flash-forward. It doesn't necessarily mean it's his actual birthday, if he's taken on a new identity with the fake ID and all. Could have something to do with the situation - this could be a dedication of some sort. Does kind of look like a family member may be dying soon.

Just my takes, but it is pretty early in the game to be throwing those out there, but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents about possibilities.

The heist scene from two weeks ago was one of the more badass things they've ever done.

This season has been pretty awesome so far, except for Skylar being an uber count.

"You know who I am."

"Heisenberg."

""You damn right".

Ugh. Walter is going to be insufferable for the rest of the series now, beating himself up about this.

He did the right thing. It's neat and tidy and cuts all the ties from himself and Hank.

He's virtually safe now and $5MM richer, but he's going to do something stupid and give the money away.

How can he be rational about the kid on the bike but NOT about an a-hole like Mike who put he, Jesse, and his family at risk?

I didnt really like this death scene, felt a bit rushed and not memorable.

That was the point. That's how death is sometimes. Not everybody dies in a blaze of glory, sometimes it's not memorable, just a waste, or even a mistake.

can police just waltz to vault door

yes, actually they can, they weren't making entry at the time, but then saw the probable cause.

think they will get Walt calling Mike

No, Walt is not stupid, it's cell phone to cell phone, they would not have that voice transmission under those circumstances and Walt surely had a throw-away cell.

I think Walt may end up as Danny Dravot did for very similar reasons. The very beginning of this season hints at a similar fate. For any of you who have not seen "The Man Who Would Be King" - it's a damn great movie.

Nice comparison.

Forgot about that great movie.
