Cooking the first Gumbo of the year tonight. Thought about posting this in the Food and Drink Board, but I figured people of the OB would rather see it here. Might even get knee deep in a bottle of Jack

So, lets hear it...

Chicken and sausage

or

Seafood Gumbo

Still too warm to eat gumbo for me.

At chicken jamb yesterday, so it'd have to be seafood gumbo today.

It is a little warm, but I'd eat it.

I'd go seafood. Personal preference. I like them both though.

ETA: Food board doesn't have to have all the food threads. They were talking about ordering game meat the other day. I thought that should be moved to the OB.

No such thing as to warm, gumbo all year for me

I got some duck in the freezer from last year that I will be using for a gumbo in a couple of weeks. Need to make room for the upcoming season.

This. And I don't care if it's heresy or not but I'll do a chicken and sausage then top it with seafood cause I'm a goddamn rebel.

I'm gonna make a large batch of deer chili this weekend with the rest of the ground I have left from last year. Then I'm putting into gallon freeze bags to bring hunting for this upcoming year. Gonna use the tomatoes and peppers from the garden too.

I'm ready to re-stock with fresh blood!

I love seafood gumbo, but won't even try to cook it. I only cook chicken/duck/sausage. Oh, and andouille is gross.
