as to what team was less deserving of an NC:

(2011) Bama by getting a "re-do" game, or

(2007) LSU by getting in with two losses,

Who do y'all think the nation's fans, excluding Bama/LSU fans of course, would say was less deserving of their respective national championship?

I have no clue; thus, am asking.

Why would you preface the question as excluding LSU fans, then ask a bunch of LSU fans? Take this to the SEC Rant

2007 LSU because people forget what else happened that year and will just see the 2 losses. Alabama avenged their only loss of the year in convincing fasion. Plus, it happened in recent memory. No one remembers that EVERYONE but Ohio State lost 2 games, and Ohio State had one loss. LSU beat 5 top 15 teams and was the most deseriving of the 2 loss teams by a mile. Then, they destoryed Ohio St.

Really, both teams are as deserving after Alabama beat LSU. But, Okie St. should have gotten in the game over Bama.

If it wasn't 2 loss LSU, it would've been another 2 loss team. Besides Ohio St with 1 loss, 2-loss teams had the best record that year.

this.

LSU was just the best team in a year where everyone beat each other up.

people would say LSU in 2007 because we lost 2 games. Of course anyone outside of Ohio St would have been a 2 loss champion if LSU hadn't been the winner of the game or made it, but people would still vote that LSU 2007 was probably the less deserving. You'd have some vote Bama because they didn;t win the SEC; however, there are still people that feel like UGA was the best team in 2007. There aren't many people who don't think Bama was the best team last year.

2007- People will always bring up UGA or USC. Everybody had 2 losses, but the respect for that LSU team will never really be given.

Bama and its not even close.

Is you follow what was said on BCS.org about how the BSC has always worked than Bama did not deserve the game over OSU.

yeah but everyone outside of ohio st that even mattered had 2 losses.. and LSU had zero losses in regular time.. both losses were nail biters in over time.

so LSU still had the better record and if there is such a thing.. better losses.

LSU still played in and won the SEC championship.. without their starting QB.

Less deserving?

2011 Bama, no question.

We won the West and the SEC in '07.

2011 Bama did neither of those.

Bama was a better team than say OSU, however OSU won the Big whatever it's called now. So you had conference champion vs. a team that didn't win its division, let alone its conference.

Bama was a better team, OSU was more deserving to play in that game.

All I'm going to say. I'm out of this thread before the inevitable change into another 1/9 thread.

This is true and it's just ridiculous. To belittle the 2007 title simply because we had two losses, without the above context, is beyond stupid.

People always forget that all the contenders in 2007 ended the year with 2 losses.

I wonder if 2007's season had happened last year, would LSU have gone to the bcsncg? By which I mean, last year (for some reason) was all about who you lost to, not who you beat. So even though everyone outside of tOSU had at least two losses, would LSU's losses to UK and Arky have kept them out? (Yeah, yeah, yeah, LSU was undefeated in regulation. But so was SC in 2003 and didn't get to go, so that excuse doesn't fly with me! )

And to answer your question, Alabama was the less deserving of the two.
