Do you have a Dutch Oven or cast iron skillet?
If so:
Buy some beef tips, onions and a can of beef broth from the store.
Chop onion, sautee in DO or CIS with butter.
Bread the tips in flour, crank up heat on the stove and put them in with the onion and get a decent sear on them.
Mix about 1/2 cup of flour and beef broth in a bowl or large mixing cup. *Do this by putting 1/2 cup of flour in a sifter and slowly mixing it into the broth with a whisk, otherwise, you will get chunks of flour.
Add the mixture to the DO or CIS with the seared beef tips.
Salt & pepper generously
Put in oven at about 225 for @ 2-3 hours. Serve over rice.
*If using a CIS instead of a DO cover with foil.

I have both. Guess I'll use the DO. That recipe seems easy. Just a buy a sirloin and cut it into cubes?
Cosmo thanks for the stew thread, but I want to figure out the tips first. Coon's stew looks good.
