I'm 99% sure it was intentional. Dark Side of the Moon fits The Wizard of Oz WAAAAAAYY too perfectly for it to be a coincidence. I picked up on several dozen things that matched perfectly the first and only time I tried it. The probability of it being a coincidence is astronomically low, IMO.

Dear Lord. Ok so actually picture it in your brain..how did they record the album? Do you think when they were in the studio the hit play on Wizard of Oz then started jamming? And if the timing didn't exactly fit with the movie they changed things around to make it fit? That scenario is even more unbelievable and unlikely than it being a coincidence.

Did you read my first post? We would play a ton of albums, beatles, zeppelin, floyd, dylan, whatever...and mute the TV with WHATEVER movie just so happened to be on at the time. every...single...time.. without fail, they would synch up. It's just gonna happen that there will be a scene change or a drum beat when someone raises their hand or something..it's not that unlikely.

To think that one of the most popular, influential, and best bands of all time took the painstaking hours to play a movie that came out 30 years prior and then recorded their album AROUND the movie is laughable.
