So does the show confirm that Benjen is cold hands or are D&D just fricking with us since they are to lazy to add another character.

FWIW, in the original manuscripts, the editors left a note asking if Benjen is Coldhands, to which GRRM responded, "No." Specifically they said "Is this Benjen? I think it's Benjen." He simply wrote back No.
Edit: found the image
This is an archived manuscript that is kept by the Texas State library or something like that. I am not sure how forthright GRRM has to be with the ones asking the questions, so who knows, maybe he is lying. I just don't see how Coldhands can't be Benjen, but hey, I'm not the author, it's his world.

It's not lazy it's just hard to introduce another character. I hope Coldhands is Benjen in the books but I don't think he is.

I'm not sure but this post tells me you don't understand the difference between the two mediums (tv/books)
