I think the label of "good" and "bad" are not as clear cut as you want them to be.

I don't want them to be anything. It's just what I think. I know it's not clear cut.

I thought Jaime was "bad" a long time ago, and now to me he's "good"

Everyone or everything in this whole story is flawed.

All the characters I "cheer" for are flawed.

Anyone that I consider "good" has done a bad thing

That's a whole other debate about who's honorable, cunning, loving, maniacal etc.

It will always be what I, you, or anyone else actually THINKS about a certain character(s).

I think the COTF are good. I think the WW are bad. It doesn't mean I want them to be either/or it's just what I think they are

Except when it comes to Ramsey of course. There ain't nothing good about that sucker.

It is not an extremly common storytelling device in fantasy literature does exist that people or groups of people that are portrayed as "bad" are later revealed to be "good" or at least ambiguous when the story gets around to their point of view - Ann Rice used this device a bit.

Though I think the theory of the White Walkers being forced south by an external force of some sort is less likely. Mainly because we already have the Wildlings forced south by the WW. I guess if there is a parallel to say the Germans forced west by the Huns or Mongols or whoever that would be it.

Pretty much this. Don't get me wrong, the Others are evil as can be. They seek only darkness and death. But the result of their destruction is typically rebirth and the unifying of everything else. Now that we have individuals like Cersei, Gregor Clegane, Qyburn, and the Boltons, a little scurge of humanity might not be a bad thing.
