Cat was not smart to begin with. She let let LF manipulated her in "trading" Jamie for the 2 girls.
The Starks are good people (my fav family)but they are not schemers and plotters like other families. They are reactive instead of proactive.

I don't really agree with that. Sansa is about to change from her little bird ways after she graduates from the University of Littlefinger majoring in Who the Hell Saw That Coming? Robb was also proactive as he was kicking the shite out of the Lannisters by being unpredictable, until he fell for a Westerling like a dumbass. Arya is anything but reactive. Rickon is wilder than any of them. I would love to see this kid at battle age with Shaggy Dog at his side. Jon isn't either, but doesn't matter because he's Targ. Ned and Cat absolutely, but their children are anything but at this point.
