I sense much irritation on my part in watching this season. I will just have to let the books be the books and the series do whatever. I am just holding out hope that GRRM will in fact release WOW this year.

So via the ol' Google box, this is part of a location photo from an article they did on the castle that the Winterfell scenes are filmed on GoT.
See the concrete decoration over top of the archway they're entering from in the middle of the shot?
It looks pretty identical to the concrete decoration (but from the side instead of head on) in the shot from the trailer of the Vale soldiers in the background of the shot.
That's almost assuredly Winterfell.
