It's been about a year+ since I read this but during my reading that is exactly who I thought his parents were. Didnt even think it was supposed to be a secret.
Or did they lead us to believe he was a Baratheon? Now I'm starting to second guess myself.

A perfect example of this in my mind is when GRRM used to put obscure riddles up on his blog about who was cast in a certain role. People would figure that out in minutes. It was like he thought he was so clever, "ah, but alas, my readers have foiled me again"
