Probably so his fans get confused as to which house to go to to bitch at him about not having the books done on time.
He also bought and renovated a theater in Santa Fe over the past 2 years or so. He's been posting about it a lot on his blog about how he's been hosting weekly viewings of the past 3 seasons and having cast members present in person and on Skype. Plus he's having 3 showings of S4 E1 8 days before it premieres.
Too bad New Mexico is too far away!
