quote:

"Ser Willem Darry is fled to Dragonstone, with your queen and Prince Viserys. I thought you might have sailed with him."
"Ser Willem is a good man and true," said Ser Oswell.
"But not of the Kingsguard," Sir Gerold pointed out. "The Kingsguard does not flee."

That should seal the deal right there that Jon Snow was--and is-- the rightful King of Westeros. Why people still even question R+L=J anymore is beyond me. All the evidence is there in Ned's AGOT chapters.

quote:

Reread: Arya III Chapter 32. It's the one where she overhears Varys in the dungeons.

That scene (upon reading it) was very peculiar to me/kind of out of left field. But given Arya's training, I'm convinced now that George threw a bone to us to perhaps foreshadow that Arya is going to kill Varys. I've said this before and I'll say it a million times over, I've always wanted Sansa to kill Littlefinger and Arya to kill Varys.

quote:

Catelyn VI it is said when she meets Ser Waynwood "her heart had turn to stone" because she did not weep for the dead men she had lost along to the Vale. Mya Stone is seen for the first time.

Mind=blown. Very clever of George to already hint at Lady Stoneheart in the very first book. I never noticed that.
quote:

Eddard IX Ned things of promises he made to Lyanna. Soon after he wonders if Rhaegar visited brothels.

Yet another reason why I think R+L=J. If Rhaegar kidnapped and raped Lyanna, I don't think that Ned would've respected him. That very thought of Ned thinking "I don't think Rhaegar went to brothels" proved to me that perhaps Lyanna revealed to Ned on her bed of blood that she went willingly with him and loved him.

Robert is the only one who tends to think of Rhaegar as a rapist, and I think Robert knew deep down inside that Lyanna didn't love him and didn't want to admit to himself that she ran off with him. Jaime, Cersei, Ned, Barristan, Jorah, JonCon, the list goes on for all the people who respected/admired Rhaegar, and they're all from different houses and allegiances.

There is little doubt. How is Jon going to find out?

One thing that is against R+L=J is the Kingsguard fights the Uncle of the King in this case. Why would the Kingsguard say something first to prevent a fight? It was all Stark bannerman, no Baratheon or Arryn men.

I agree with the entire R+L=J, but that quote was from Ned. He would never have called Viserys king for a few reasons, he would have been a prince. "The Kingsguard does not flee" to me in the most important quote in the context.
