What do y'all think the significance of Tyrion meeting Jon and going to the Wall in AGOT with him is, and how does that tie into meeting Faegon and (about) to meet Dany??

At the very least Tyrion understands the pitiful conditions the Night's Watch is in. So if he gets word that there is a white walker army or something similar descending on the Wall he'd be in heavily in favor of advising Dany or whoever to send assistance.

Yeah, I can see that or maybe Tyrion advising Dany to go to the Wall instead of playing the GoT.

Also, I don't think the Wall is going to be around much longer, therefore the Nights Watch will disband. No way that Jon returns to it and his 'death' is a way for Jon to leave the NW and attend to other matters in the North. I also think he's going to get with Val .

If he believes any of that. Wasn't Tyrion acting Hand when Thorne brought the wight hand down? Tyrion basically dismissed him.
