I think Lena Headey is going to pull off the purple wedding scene well. She really has taken over Cersei in my mind. Some of the casting is a little off, but for the most part it's right on.

I really like Lena's portrayal of Cersei. Some of the hardcore book fanboys/fangirls on the ASOIAF forum bitch about her, but I think she took a rather one-dimensional, Disney 'evil queen' type of character and made her more realistic. It's going to make her downward spiral in seasons 4 and 5 even more fun to watch. Lena said in an interview recently that she's excited for the Walk of Shame scene.
I've been very happy with the casting for the most part, but then again, I didn't start reading the books until Season 3 came on (so for the first 2 seasons I was a Hodor); so a lot of the actors were already ingrained in my mind when I read the books. A lot of people were bitching about Oberyn not being 'brown' enough on other boards but I think Pedro Pascal looks Dornish; they're supposed to look more like Spaniards than people from the Middle East in terms of skin tone (Dornish are technically Rhoynar but some also have Andal/First Men blood mixed in). I trust D&D with that casting decision.
Hell, a lot of fans whine about Kit Harington not being "Jon enough." IMO, it's moreso the writing of Jon and that storyline rather than Kit's acting/portrayal. There was a lot of Wildling-Jon interaction that was left out last season that disappointed me (i.e. there should've been more scenes with Tormund, Jon, and Mance). I do think that he did a good job with having chemistry with Ygritte as well. And I'm really looking forward to his interactions with Stannis in the next 2 seasons...because let's face it, I didn't care much or respect Stannis until he went to the Wall.
However, I think recasting Daario was stupid. Not sure why they decided to recast Daario but we'll see what happens.
