Yeah, I can see the show doing that. The book certainly didn't give him a starring character feel. He had like 3 or 4 parts in ASoS IIRC. I remember thinking when he died, "WTF? That's it? He's done?"

I think they did alright with him. I was just assuming that the Red Viper would kill the Mountain, and Tyrion would be off to Dorne with the Red Viper and actively plotting Myrcella's ascent to the throne.

Same here
. I can picture the show runners creating extra scenes for him...a la Loras and Renly. Except they'll do a threesome scene with him and Ellaria probably and expand upon his bisexual manwhore tendencies.
