You know Martin has written other stuff than ASOIAF right?
That guy did a bunch of work trying to tie the two things together, but much of that is making pretty wide and vague comparisons between the two. I seriously doubt Martin goes that route. Martin generally goes for realistic endings in his books and stories, neither really happy nor really sad.
