It was very mediocre, and not just because it was the episode that followed the Red Wedding. I really enjoyed/was surprised to see Maester Aemon back, and liked that they set up Stannis going to the Wall next season.

In my opinion, Dany's storyline needs to take a step back next season to everything else that is going to happen. Like show her maybe 5 episodes like they did with Theon/Reek. No need to show that bitch in every episode. She was in 8 out of 10 episodes this season I think, which was probably 2 episodes too many. If they are going to untangle Martin's Mereneese crap plot, they shouldn't feel the need to show her every episode. I think they need to show more of the stuff that is going to happen at the Wall and King's Landing story, especially with Oberyn.

And what the hell was up with NOT killing Balon. Thought without any reasonable doubt that would happen in this episode. Seriously, what are they doing with Asha? I thought for sure they'd bump up the King's/Queen's Moot arc to Season 4, but instead she's going to be knowing God knows what.
