Dragonsteel
When looking in the archives of the Night's Watch for a way to combat the Others Sam reads about "Dragonsteel". He and Jon think with this Valyrian Steel may be meant.[2][3]

An interesting thought emerged while reading about the named swords...
A thought. Not a theory.
Ice is said to have been aquired by House Stark
About 100 years before Aegon's Landing. This is way after the Long Night, Age of Heroes, War for the Dawn, etc.
Brightroar is "the ancient Valyrian Greatsword of House Lannister" and we know it was lost with King Tommen II when he never returned from a quest to Valyria, and Geron Lannister led another doomed expedition to find it. but...it's intersting to note that Tommen II was King of the Rock when he vanished, so its safe to say Brightroar was lost before Aegon's Landing (give or take 100 years) and since nothing is mentioned about when it was aquired by House Lannister, it's possible Brightroar is much older than Ice...
Or I should say, the Lannisters had their Valyrian Steel Greatsword way before House Stark aquired Ice. In fact, it's possible Brightroar was lost...before Ice was found.
Did Tywin actually Steel anything at all?
ETA: I meant 100 years before Aegon's Landing, which was 400 yrs before Robert's Rebellion.
