One of the popular ones that I DO NOT believe is that Stannis sent the letter to coax Jon into joining his forces at WF.
Another is that Mel did it push Jon to leave so that he would be killed so that she could revive him. Again, I don't buy this one.
The best one IMO, is that Mance sent the letter. It makes a lot of sense. That could also point to Mel being involved, since she has some sort of power over him, but not necessarily.
I think it's a 50/50 that either Mance sent it, or Ramsay actually did send it and is just lying about a lot of the stuff he put in it.
If Mance did send it, I think it's 50/50 that Mel was also involved
So basically, frick if I know.

Definitely not, since I don't think she knows about Ramsay's precious Reek.

It's just to close for me, but the only other possibility. I think Ramsay knows he's screwed without "Arya" and is trying to scare the piss out of Jon Snow and the Watch.
