I'm still not convinced Ramsay wrote the letter

I was surprised that whoever wrote it claimed that they had seven days of battle when the last chapter we saw them in they were all snowed in. I also was curious who was blowing the horn keeping Ramsay's men on the walls. After the horn starts to sound, we get a chapter in Stannis' camp with Asha saying they were still what, 2 days away? Seems too far away for a horn to be blowing around the walls day in and day out. I didn't read the first 200 pages of this thread but were there any theories on those things?

wasn't it one of the Umbers with a troop of green boys? No match for the Bolton/Frey force, just an irritant.

Agreed.

One of the popular ones that I DO NOT believe is that Stannis sent the letter to coax Jon into joining his forces at WF.

Another is that Mel did it push Jon to leave so that he would be killed so that she could revive him. Again, I don't buy this one.

The best one IMO, is that Mance sent the letter. It makes a lot of sense. That could also point to Mel being involved, since she has some sort of power over him, but not necessarily.

I think it's a 50/50 that either Mance sent it, or Ramsay actually did send it and is just lying about a lot of the stuff he put in it.

If Mance did send it, I think it's 50/50 that Mel was also involved

So basically, frick if I know.
