Every time they drop a character, it makes me worried about the books. I always think that some people will be a waste of time if GRRM allows the show writers to just drop them. If Gendry replaces Edric Storm, I have to assume his role in the BWB will be minimal in the future.

same here, just console yourself with the idea that they still might transfer the significant actions to another character
