I just doubt a wildling would call him Lord, although that might have happened plenty of times and I am forgetting.

They may have out of respect. Especially when you consider it wasn't uncommon for Wildlings in small groups to get past the Wall and settle in Northern/Stark lands from time to time.

I do not think they are calling him their lord, it was just the title given to the Stark. The have been calling the Starks King of the North or Lord of the North for thousands of years,just not their king or lord.
