I have a new question that ive never seen mentioned. One quote just threw me off while reading the Theon chapter in ADWD when he and Jeyne escape. Theon says "winter is coming ". Rowan, one of the washerwomen who I thought were all wildlings, says "You have no right to mouth Lord Eddard's words. Not you. Not ever. After what you did....."

Who is this Rowan. If she were a wildling, why would she call Eddard a lord and why would she give a shite about his kids or Winterfell?

The Stark's were King's of the North for thousands of years. They figure prominently in the Wildlings' stories. The wildlings may not love the Starks but they share a lot of history.
