How's Jon getting in the Winterfell crypt?
Posted on 4/4/13 at 9:31 pm to Tiger1242
same way Ned was down there with Rickon the night of his beheading.
Posted on 4/4/13 at 10:34 pm to Bruce Leezard
I guess being the Bastard of a Stark is good enough to get down there?
Also if everyone's theory is true Jon isn't a Stark at all

Uh... He's at least 50% Stark...

They don't bury you with your moms house. By that logic Ned was only 50% Stark

Wasn't he legitimized by Robb? Maybe that makes a difference.

:mindfrickingblown:
How is no one else responding to this??
Is this an old theory that I missed??
If not Leezard has just won the best crackpot theory award since Mance=Dayne IMO.
That would be so fricking badass.
Would bring a whole lot of meaning to Ned's bones being returned and finding out wtf happened to them would be very very important.
God I love this fricking thread

Tyrion ends up riding a dragon somehow.
Posted on 4/5/13 at 8:57 am to Hugo Stiglitz
And is it confirmed Asha is dead?
Posted on 4/5/13 at 9:01 am to Hugo Stiglitz
According to the winds of winter excerpts Asha is not dead
Posted on 4/5/13 at 9:03 am to Hugo Stiglitz
No. Asha has already appeared in WoW a preview chapter

Who is the third Dragon head then?
Jon Snow/Targ seems the most likely candidate.

I like it! That's what this thread is for!

Because The Others haven't come South of The Wall before.
This is the White Winter, and when The Wall comes down, the Starks, the protectors of The North, are going to protect their home.
One last magic line of defense.
fricking loving this theory

The Others haven't been seen in thousands of years and lore can be easily lost in that sort of time span.
At the start of the series Martin's scale was off in a few instances. The Stark family line is supposed to stretch back to the Age of Heroes 5,000 years ago. I don't think any RL families can go further than 1,000 and only a couple can do that. (Japanese Imperial family for instance.)
And the wall is 700 ft tall? 100 would be just as effective and a lot easier to swallow.

It's a fantasy book, bro. He can what he wants. Maybe the damn thing needed to be 700 feet high for some reason. I mean, shite dragons could've been huge and or been able to melt the wall if it was smaller. I don't know. Maybe some other reason.

But it seems like they would have come that far south before the wall was built and the Starks were around. Why no mention of them rising then?
I can see it being lost knowledge over time but it just seems like something that big would be remembered.

Well obviously there would need to be some magic for the dead Starks to rise.
My thought would be that when the Wall was built by Brandon and sealed with magic by the CotF, there was an additional fail-safe built in the spell that if The Wall was ever brought down, it would trigger the Starks to rise as a last line of defense.
Just thinking this out as we go since Leezard only threw this out this morning
