I hope you aren't basing this on "Ramsey's" letter to Jon.
Davos Seaworth was dead, too, per second-hand info.

I personally don't see Stannis making it out alive either long term. I think he's pretty likely to be dead by series end. I think he has a decent chance of making it to the final book, but very little of surviving till the end.
He's one of the main characters I can easily see dying next book.

I haven't been keeping up with this thread in its entirety, but have yall already discussed the visions in the house of the undying pretty extensively? Can we do it again or does anyone know about what page it's on? I'm talking about something like making a list of them all and seeing what's come true and what hasn't and maybe coming up with theories on the ones that haven't?

I'm pretty confident Stannis will be dead by the end of WoW, and I highly doubt he goes down to the Boltons.

I don't think the House of Undying is something that can have too much discussion, I'd say knock yourself out.
I know several parts have came true already, and the rest are simply unclear or open to interpretation for the most part (like the fake dragon in the crowd and whatnot.).

I couldn't even tell you what page it is on at this point, but as said have at it.
If you're up to it I wouldn't mind seeing what was also in the House of the Undying in the show too. I think at the very least it couple be supplemental to some theories in the text.

Actually the Ice and Fire Wiki has done most of the work for you:
The warlock Pyat Pree persuades Daenerys Targaryen to seek answers in the House of the Undying. Inside, she passes through many rooms containing visions before she reaches the chamber of the Undying.[2]
- A beautiful, naked woman being ravished by four of the dwarves who serve the house.
- A feast of slaughtered corpses holding cups, spoons, and food, with a dead man with a wolf's head sitting on a throne wearing an iron crown, apparently foreshadowing the Red Wedding.
- Daenerys' childhood home in Braavos.
- A throne room with dragon skulls on the walls where a king resembling Aerys II Targaryen sits on a barbed throne and appears to give the order to burn the Red Keep during the Sack of King's Landing.
- A room where a silver-haired man (presumably Rhaegar Targaryen) names his son Aegon, says the child is "the prince that was promised", then plays a harp.
- A "splendor of wizards" who falsely claim to be the Undying of Qarth and offer to teach Daenerys the secret speech of dragonkind.
- Upon reaching the chamber of the Undying, Daenerys is spoken to in a barely perceptible whisper. The Undying call her "mother of dragons" and "child of three" and tell her some prophesies, saying "three fires must you light... one for life and one for death and one to love... three mounts must you ride... one to bed and one to dread and one to love... three treasons will you know... once for blood and once for gold and once for love..."
The Undying show Daenerys many more visions before attacking her and being slain by Drogon[2]:
- Viserys' gruesome death.
- A tall lord with copper-skin and silver-gold hair beneath a banner of a fiery stallion, with a burning city in the background (this may be a glimpse at what Rhaego's future would have been).
- A dying prince (likely Rhaegar Targaryen) with rubies flying from his chest, mutters a woman's name with his last breath.
- A blue-eyed king who casts no shadow raises a red sword in his hand.
- A cloth dragon sways on poles amidst a cheering crowd.
- A great stone beast takes wing from a smoking tower, breathing shadows.
- Daenerys' silver trots through grass to a darkling stream under a sea of stars.
- A corpse standing at the prow of a ship with bright eyes and grey smiling lips.
- A blue flower growing from a chink in a wall of ice, filling the air with sweetness.

Now this is from the Game of Thrones Wiki about what was show in the show for the House of the Undying:
LINK
quote:
She enters inside the house and with a flamed torch begins her journey to locate her dragons. She sees various illusions along the way. She finds herself in the Great Hall of the Red Keep and sees the Iron Throne and the charred remains of the Red Keep, covered in snow. She next is seen leaving the Wall in a snowy storm. She next enters a tent where she sees her beloved Drogo and her son Rhaego. She knows it is merely an illusion and the cries of her dragons reminds her that she must force herself to continue on. She finds her dragons chained, and soon Pyat Pree chains Daenerys up as well.

Greyscale...but who? Jon Connington?

Who is blue eyed?

If Jon Snow is reborn as a wight/Other would he then have blue eyes and a red sword?
ETA: I also believe The Others don't cast a shadow.

I think Bran would tie into the Night's King more than Jon would...just seems like a more likely spot for him to land as his character progresses and gets deeper into the mischief of the children of the forest.

These intrigue me very very much

But this one is the most interesting to me. What does it symbolize? Lyanna (wall of ice) and Rhaegar (blue flower)??
Filling the air with sweetness??? Flower coming from inside the Wall?? Jon Snow reference I'm sure, just think it was interesting.

Thanks Belle, that's exactly what I was talking about. Was going to work on it maybe tomorrow if it hadn't been done.
This one I was wondering if it had to do with Stannis. Has blue eyes, no shadows maybe having something to do with the shadow demons that killed Renly and the castellan, and the red sword maybe the fake Lightbringer?
This I don't know and I thought we might speculate
Is this Theon maybe?
Seems like a reference to Jon as Lyanna's son on the wall.
Wtf?

Something else to think about is that some of those visions may be of what will never come to pass such as the reference to Dany and Drogo's child (the silver-haired, copper skinned "stallion").
I could see Bran going that route but the red sword steers me towards Jon given his current predicament.

That one was especially intriguing to me, as well! I think it's referring to something within the wall - with it's roots planted in the ice. It's got to be some sort of Stark/Jon Snow reference but who knows the meaning?

I tend to think it's a reference to Jon Snow's lineage. That the blue rose is associated with Lyanna (via the Tournament at Harrenhal and in Ned Stark's fever dreams/memories) and Jon Snow is obviously the current Stark at the Wall.

Has to be. Lyanna is always referenced with blue roses or flowers. A crown of blue winter roses is what Rhaegar tossed her at the tourney at Harrenhal.

Yep...seems about right.
