In my opinion, no. However, when you buy guitars, you get (for the most part) exactly what you pay for. The more you spend, the better product you'll get.

You really need to play the guitar you are going to buy. They are not all created equally. Also plan to spend some money to get it checked out at your local music store. They can grind frets, adjust the action, adjust pickup position etc. Great investment especially for a beginner.
