What size lift kit for a Chevy Colorado?

Looking to lift my Colorado a little bit, nothing extreme though. Was wondering what you guys thought was a good, average sized lift for a Colorado. From what I've read it looks like the standard lift is 2 1/2 inches to the front and 1 1/2 inches to the rear. FWIW, it's a 2005, 4x4 crew cab and the body frame for this truck has changed very little throughout the years.
TIA.
TIA.

FWIW a little truck is like a little pecker. It's alright around the house but not much good for out on the town. Plus the higher you lift it the less likely it is that fat chicks can get in.
But in my experience once you lift it you're gonna always wish you'd gone a couple inches higher. 4" suspension lift now and then if you want more you could go with a coupla inches of body lift but I think a body lift by itself just looks cheap. Just my thoughts.

No matter how much you pimp it out, it's still a Chevy Colorado, dude.

Whatever it takes to fit 33"x12.5" tires. No body lift, only suspension. Anything more than that IMO is kind of a waste

Yo, I need to jack up my pimp Jeep Liberty. How much body lift should I put on? How high can I go before I start getting speed wobbles over 100 mph?

Just wanted something a little higher for my hunting property. I have a few deep ditches that I cross and it's annoying when the tail hitch bumps the ground and the property is just ruggid in general. Plus, I think a lift will look good on my Colorado but maybe that's JMO.

A guy I know has a canyon and runs 33x12.5's on it and it looks good. Not sure what size lift he has. It looks pretty tall though since its a smaller truck.
I'd probably personally go with a 2.5" front lift, maybe an inch in the rear and go with whatever the max tire you can fit with that is. It should say on the lift company's website. It'll look taller and give you more clearance, and you won't have any of the problems associated with really oversized tires and tall suspension lifts.
Make sure you get it aligned after its installed as well.

I sense sarcasm

None. I don't even think you can on a unibody vehicle. I have no clue if that's accurate though.

6 inches of lift on that truck would be asinine. 2.5 would be plenty. Are you building this to use or play redneck at Hooters?
Why not run something like 255/85 BFG MTs. You get the height needed but not the width of a 12.5 so you don't look like a tonka toy. If you actually use this truck you will tear up the body spraying crap on it all the time, not to mention risk wearing on the drivetrain parts prematurely.

Did you even look at the link I posted? It's a 2.25" front leveling kit. You can fit 32x10.5" tires max, which are plenty big for a midsized truck.

Tacomas are similar sized trucks and look good with a 6 inch lift. I wouldn't run one on mine because to get 6 inches Tacomas require a drop bracket so there is no gain in ground clearance over a 2.5-3 inch lift.

I like lower trucks with as big a tire as they can fit. I don't like jacked up to the sky trucks with somewhat big tires. Lower and bigger tires looks way better IMO. I have 35x12.50s on my F250 right now with no lift, and will probably go with 35x13.50s next

I had torsion bars cranked and 2 inch shackles in the back. Fit 33's easily. I still have the shackles laying around if you want them. Truck looked good.

There is some definite spillover. Be careful what you post on any board, the OT disease is catching.
