That's Ouachita's story and what they're taking to the LHSAA. The guy they're talking about isn't a coach though and is actually related to Cam.

Can't believe nothing has been done towards clearing up Cam's situation. New Star

quote:

"It's a situation where we kind of know some things about some situations, but don't know some things about some situations," he (Robinson) said. "I can't talk a whole lot about it, but we have some idea."

quote:

The principal of the receiving school in a transfer situation can request in writing an investigation to determine if a student-athlete qualifies for immediate eligibility under the "bona fide change of residence" rules, according to the handbook.

quote:

The LHSAA had not received such a request as of Tuesday evening. "I'm here looking at my mailbox, and it hasn't come as far as I know," Executive Director Kenny Henderson said. "I know I haven't gotten anything today."

quote:

West Monroe coach Don Shows said he had discussed the issue with principal Shere May for "about an hour and a half." May said she will send the investigation request Wednesday to the LHSAA.

"Since it's such a high-profile case, we want to make sure the LHSAA is involved," May said.Shows said last Wednesday he and May had discussed the issue earlier in the day and that he expected the investigation request to be sent "in the next couple of days."

"I don't know which way it will go," Shows said. "It could go against him or it could go for him ... The sad part about the whole thing is that the kid has done nothing wrong.

"They're gonna look into everything. They're gonna look into the change of residence, and they're gonna look into it and see if we recruited him, which we didn't. I would never do that to somebody. All that, that's what Ouachita would accuse us of." The West Monroe coach said he, May, Ouachita coach John Carr, Ouachita principal Todd Guice, Ouachita athletic director Fred McHenry, Ouachita Parish Schools Superintendent Bob Webber, Ouachita Parish Schools Athletic Director Randy Hammett and two school board members had "had two meetings" in which "everybody got to air out their opinions."

quote:

West Monroe should also be sending that form to Ouachita as early as Wednesday, Shows said. Robinson seemed surprised Monday when asked if he was aware LHSAA rules would require West Monroe to initiate the eligibility investigation.

"No, sir," he said. "I didn't."

quote:

"There's too many unanswered questions until we're asked to be brought into it," Henderson said. "We're waiting on them."

quote:

According to LHSAA rules, "if a student has not enrolled in and attended a school in the first 11 days of the school semester, he/she is ineligible to participate the first 30 days of his/her attendance in that semester."

"In a nut shell, he's either gonna be eligible or he's gonna be ineligible," Shows said.

There's a lot more information in the article but after reading it I'm still not sure what's going on. Sounds like some of the principles (both figuratively and literally) involved are in the same boat.
