I live in thibodaux. Been trying to bring my dish out to tailgate setup. Can never get it right on campus. Is there something i'm missing or is it impossible since it is a different zip code. Some special convertor I need. any help needed.

assuming you don't have tree issues it's just an alignment issue. just do sat setup on the receiver, it will give you the settings after you put in the BR zip code. I think there is an iphone app that locate's the sats as well.

Alignment is best with two or more people.

We set up a dallas based Direct TV receiver on the parade grounds every game with no problem. How close are you to any buildings or trees.

What about just using a laptop with a 4G air card and HDMI or VGA output? Not sure how many games will be online though.

You are not alone with this, as I see people struggling with this ever single game. Seen a few. People get so mad that they tore all of the equipment up!

Can anybody who uses the older Multi-satellite(see pic) to tailgate tell me what they have the elevation and tilt set at? We had no issues with the dish until the last game of last season. I thought it might be the dish/switch since it was old and beat up, so I swapped it out with an identical dish. I'm using a receiver that I know works, but I can't get it above a 0% signal on the receiver's meter. I ordered a cheap signal meter that should be here before saturday, but it's pissing me off not being able to get it to work.

ETA: Never mind, I swapped the coax around on the multiswitch and it's seems to be getting a signal now. Just have to fine tune it.
