Shutter Island
Better movie than Inception.
Good god, no. The plot twist at the very end of Shutter Island was nice. The rest of the movie was an obvious mind-frick and at that point the movie became tedious/comical; even my wife saw through it.

Thought Inception was much better.

I hope you didn't watch the edited television version (as it was on USA - I believe - last night).

I saw it when it was still on Netflix. But yes, I did watch it last night and was curious about the ending and what people thought of it.

I read the book before I saw the movie and it more inferred to him regressing if anything (Was still very ambiguous). I watched the movie and it swayed a lot more towards he did it on purpose which was a lot more straight forward than the book. It was pretty strange to differ so much from book to movie

You wouldn't think you would want to watch it again after knowing the outcome, but the acting and storyline is just so captivating that you want to.
exactly...and you realize the second time through how great a job they did of making it seem plausible that the conspiracy is true for the first watch. and how obvious it is that they were all entertaining Laeddis and this experiment for the second watch.
...many clues in the movie that this was an experiment...like the guards sitting around throwing rocks when they were supposed to be searching for rachel solanda's body, or the crazy people trying to communicate with Laeddis like they know him....but you don't quite notice that on the first watch
