I understand. I'm always interested in other payers' likes and dislikes, especially when it comes to subjective stuff—that's what makes the conversations interesting. My Coastline is the only Seagull I've played and I've not seen them in any of the shops I go to here in Orlando.

Find a santa cruz dealer that caries a lot of their models and find one you like, then go from there.
They crush everything in their price range, PERIOD! People are very partial to guitars that they've spent a lot on, so don't buy into others opinions...even mine, until you try them.
I have a non-brazilian tony rice and it rings better than a bell.
Don't waste your time on machine made well known brands...get your hands on some hand crafted boxes for much less.
