Sorry if this has been posted before, but if it was, I missed it.

I know how the OB loves the 1911, so enjoy.

I am in the market for a 1911. Trying to buy used so I don't break the bank. Been looking for a month or so and I'm getting anxious.

I know an old man who used to be a gunsmith. He loves Rock Island and they are affordable

They better come out with a double barrel judge or the official OB gun might be replaced with this

If you use the special 410 shells that Remington made for the Judge there won't be anything alive on the other end of that barrell. Mean fricking shell.

Nothing wrong w/ looking at used 1911's to save some money, but you might also consider looking at new (or used) model from one of the Philippino manufacturers.

Yeah, Rock Island Armory makes some nice, basic 1911's that are also very affordable. But, there are others in the game, as well.
There are basically 3 different companies in The Philippines that make 1911's. SAM makes ATI. Armscor makes Citadel and RIA (Rock Island Armory). Metro Arms makes American Classic. I've been very pleased w/ my Citadel as well as my American Classic. Lots of info available on these guns here:

Enoy your search. 1911's are a real joy to shoot and play with.
