Just read the book again last week for the first time in about 15 years. It is such a good story. So good.

Movie -- meh. But really, there's no way to get all the nuance of the book into a movie. The movie would be 36 hours long.

That clown is horrifying, though. Pretty much what I had in my head while reading the book.

What was the whole "float" thing about? I remember he was always saying that.

I ordered it on Netflix and it was just kinda meh. I sent it back without finishing it.

They did a great job making Pennywise scary as hell though. I can see how it freaked out a lot of kids when it came out. I never watched it when the miniseries was released.

I've never actually watched it. Even though Richard Thomas is my cousin, 2nd or 3rd, don't remember.

I'm watching it now though.

Are older movies ever scary?

The Exorcist still creeps me the hell out.

When you consider IT was a made for TV miniseries it's held up pretty well. It's not awful, but it obviously suffers in production. Not sure how I feel about the remake other than it's going to take someone phenomenal to play Pennywise as Curry did.

It would serve them well to just cast him as Pennywise again.
