This is a massively underrated comedy. It has character development, witty humor, stupid humor, slapstick comedy, great script, great acting, great actors, and a solid plot.
I'm watching it right now and i havent stopped laughing.

Will ferrel uses wooden guns in this movie right?
Iirc the way he debuted those was pretty funny. Also the bit about him having a hot wife was pretty good too.

Reilly would've been good, but we've all seen that movie a couple of times. Wahlberg worked for this cuz he played it straight.

I think you're spot on about everything but the script. The plot was weak. They had a great idea but didn't know what to do with it. Supporting characters were so great.
