The magnitude of this situation due to his senile condition over the past 10 years? I think anyone with a right mind who has a BoT meeting to decide their future will not send a message saying don't worry about terminating me, I am going to quit when I ready

How do you not realize the magnitude of child molestation?

Not a valid excuse.

Being old and being senile are two different things.

There is no evidence the guy had ANY senility and doubtful he would have been able to continue with Alzheimers. A much younger Pat Summit was forced to quit because she couldn't continue. No way Joe could have continued at any level with real senility.

Although, I do see the family perhaps trying to push this as an excuse for his inaction.

I think he was past the level of being a full time college head football coach, but it's clear he wasn't just oblivious to everything.
