the precedent means nothing, much like Goodall wielding limitless power against the Saints. The NCAA, like Goodall, has always had this power. It has been given to them by each individual conference in the NCAA, and therefore each school.

You act like the NCAA created it's own power. No, it has no power that hasn't been granted to it by the member institutions. You should go complain to your University's President and AD if you think the NCAA has too much power.
