Tell that to the countless young boys who are men now whose lives will never be the same. Tell them that all is good now. The perpetrators are gone. We got this handled. And there is no way that this could ever happen again at this University because those guys aren't there anymore.
That's not the point. The people who did wrong, along with the people that covered it up are being pursued, and will be and should be punished.
The point is that if people currently involved in Penn State football had nothing to do with wrong doing (staff, players, fans) then they should not be punished.
That's it in a nutshell. Either you get it or you don't. Punishment should be limited to those who did wrong, not meted out to people who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Are you suggesting that the University didn't do anything wrong? Were those individuals not acting on behalf of the University? Were they not representing the University in their roles?
Who gave Reggie Bush improper benefits during his time at USC? According to your argument, that man should be the one to be punished and not the school....not the players at the school who had nothing to do with it or the football team.

So, answer me this, Mr.S.Cal. With the Reggie Bush scandal being so drawn out, with your theory, there should have been no penalties simply because, 4-5 yrs later, no current players were involved. Usually, no NCAA sanctions come down immediately, many can & do take yrs, so, with your theory, again, no penalties should ever be issued. Do the crime, draw it out, and nothing ever happens. What world do you live in?
