Yes sir. I believe he was the head of orthopaedic surgery there or at the least a longtime surgeon there at the VA Hospital in New Orleans.

That's a shame. He was one of my all time favorite doctors. It will also make my issue to get my knee replaced that much more difficult with the VA. 
He was a strong advocate for all veterans in need. 
He will be greatly missed.
