Well, that's because it was. The gap between everything from acting quality to directing to writing. Nolan most certainly wasn't the only one to learn from BB. Bale and Holmes both grew exponentially as characters (Though, privately, I STILL think Katie Holmes leaves her rolls flat). That's why I'm extra excited for Rises. While Bale is mentally unstable, he has atleast grown as an actor. I think he'll do a marvelous job...That and Bane is a boss. 'Nuff said.
