Me saying I don't think it will happen doesn't mean I am bothered by it. It's just my opinion that i don't think it is going to happen.
Like I said earlier, even if the Lakers get Dwight Howard, they wouldn't be better than the Heat. And probably would not be better than the Thunder. The Lakers still would not be able to guard Westbrook (Nash certainly can't) or Durant.

Lloyd is a reputable beat writer and we're pronouncing the time of death for this latest rumor -- the theoretical deal was Dwight to the Lakers, Andrew Bynum to the Cavs, and picks and prospects to the Magic. The teams may have talked about it, but maybe they didn't, and maybe it was a story planted by one source or another for their own ends. At the end of the day it's just another lousy chapter in the Dwight-demands-a-trade debacle.
I guess i was right.
