Best way to grill venison?

Grilling outside today on a charcoal pit, any tips on cooking venison?

Marinate it in your go-to marinade for an hour or so.

Sear the backstrap over a hot fire for a couple of minutes, then turn. Repeat and remove strap from fire. Let it settle at room temperature for 10 mints or so and serve medium- rare.

Best way to cook venison, IMO.

Do not over cook whatever you do. Venison is best medium rare by far

Thanks ill try that out. Yeah this stuff is definitely too lean to serve any more cooked than MR

What's your favorite way to eat it? I really enjoyed venison fajitas!

When cooking venison steaks on the grill I like to put a layer of 1/2" thick tomato slices on top of the steaks after turning. Let the juices run in them good.

As others have said do not overcook.
