Are you implying that there is no scandal here?

If by "scandal" you mean the media has taken a hold of a simple open and shut case and blown it up to be more than than and trying to exploit the details of the case for their benefit while continue to dig for more dirt to milk it even further for their own benefit, then yeah sure there's a scandal.

Kind of reminds me of the Casey Anthony/George Zimmerman stuff. Rather than reporting straight to the facts, people are letting their feelings and their opinions of what did happen and what they THINK happen cloud what the facts are. Everyone wants to get the jump on the latest "hot" story or scandal or big news event that they lose any sense of focus and understanding of the big picture. It marks one of the worst trends in our society over the last few decades. We continue to abandon logic and reason in big news stories/case and allow our feelings and emotions to take over more and more for far too long.

It's a damn shame to, because the only victims of this case - the boys who were molested/raped - have to keep hearing about it at every turn, rather than report the facts and then move on until more facts come along. I seriously doubt any of them truly want to see Penn State's athletic department punished for this when the athletic department and the current student-athletes had nothing to do with the crimes committed against them or the cover up either.

So who makes up the athletic dept if it isn't head coaches, ADs, and other officials in the AD?
