Who is to say that Goku and the others have reached the ultimate super saiyan level? No one thought SSJ2 was possible before Goku had done it.
I don't know if you have kept up with it, but they recently came out with a new movie. It's called Battle of the Gods, and Goku goes Super Saiyan God in it.

In addition, what ever happened to the Kai's? I thought they were supposed to be pretty powerful themselves.
They're around. I think the Supreme Kais are somewhere a lot stronger than Frieza but maybe a bit weaker than SSJ2. They aren't shite compared to Mystic Gohan or Vegito.

I haven't kept up with anything past the Cell Saga. I stopped watching after Gohan defeated cell. From time to time I watch an episode on the CW on Saturdays, but those are ones that I've seen already. So what is the hierarchy of super saiyans? I know you can go from SSJ, SSJ2, and SSJ3. 3 was the highest that I ever recall anyone going.
As far as the Supreme Kai's, would they be equal to a Cell or not even that strong? An since the supreme kais are no match of a SSJ2's would Goku and the others take over the afterworld upon their death.
