I learned that Goku can't beat Superman 
he'd probably whoop everyone except for Phoenix, who would probably give him a good fight.
But to bring up one more point about Gohan: he's been both the best character and the biggest bitch in the entire series

I think so. Goku's power is pretty much god-like. At his greatest strength, he could blow up a planet with ease. Professor X or any other mind control mutant might have given him trouble though. He would either have to strike quickly before Professor X knew what's going on, or he would need to have that helmet that stops people's minds from being controled.

Same thing with the mind control as above. The Juggernaut could probably frick Krillin up pretty bad, but Krillin could fly away from him. After he has his hidden powers released on Namek, I think that Krillin could out a win. He would kick most "normal" mutant's asses though.
